When she came to see Dr. Plant, this patient had already had an operation performed by a different surgeon to try and correct the capsular contracture on her left breast, unfortunately tthe capsular contracture recurred within months and for 5 years the patient had resigned herself to being stuck with this appearance. Dr. Plant replaced her old silicone implants with IDEAL saline implants and inserted alloderm tissue matrix to minimize the chance of a recurrence. He also discovered and treated a rupture of her left breast implant that had gone undetected, sparing her from having to deal with the consequences of that further down the road.
