Description:
This patient had previously had liposuction to his chest abroad to correct his gynecomastia. Because gynecomastia is caused by an excess of glandular tissue in addition to fat, this did not correct the problem and in fact made it worse because it accentuated the gland. In addition to the glandular tissue, he was also bothered by the size of his areola, so Dr. Plant performed a revision correction of gynecomastia for him along with a concurrent areolar reduction.
